Morphine but not fentanyl or oxycodone acts on HUVEC via MAPK activation. MAPK inhibitor PD98059 (1 μM) significantly reversed the effects of morphine but not fentanyl or oxycodone in stimulating capillary network formation (B), increasing proliferation (C) and decreasing apoptosis (D) in HUVEC.
