  1. ROTEM™ values shown are clotting time (CT), clot formation time (CFT), maximum clot firmness (MCF), and angle alpha (alpha). Whole blood samples were activated with tissue factor (EXTEM™), elagic acid (INTEM™), tissue factor and platelet inhibition (FIBTEM™), and tissue factor and fibrinolysis inhibition (APTEM™). Conventional laboratory variables are international normalized ratio (INR), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), fibrinogen concentration, antithrombin activity, platelet count, and hemoglobin concentration (Hb). ROTEM™ guided haemostasis management resulted in a slight decrease in most haemostatic variables during the transplantation procedure. Note, that CFT values are not generated in the FIBTEM assay. Differences between initial and final values were determined using the paired Wilcoxon test.
  2. *: no clot formation detectable
