From: Hemopexin alleviates cognitive dysfunction after focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats
HPX up-regulated the expression of HO-1 on day 7 after focal cerebral I/R injury. When compared with the rats in the sham group, those with focal cerebral I/R injury exhibited an increase in the HO-1 protein expression on day 7 after I/R injury. The HO-1 protein expression was increased in the vehicle and MCAO group. HPX injection up-regulated the HO-1 expression. *P < 0.05 vs. sham group; #P < 0.05 vs. MCAO group; ※P < 0.05 vs. vehicle group
