Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis of four parameters to predict postoperative delirium. Burst suppression (BS) was assessed on the right side during the period from induction of anaesthesia until the onset of cardiopulmonary bypass. The area under the curve (A) for the parameters BS duration and BS ratio was significantly (p = 0.001 and 0.009 respectively) different from 0.5, whereas the area under the curve for age and ASYM was not.
