  1. Table 1 compares frequencies of different variables / mortality risk factors between survivors and non-survivors. The differences between the two groups were significant in all analyzed categories, with the exception of male gender and length of ICU stay. Table 1 shows frequencies of the three AKIN stages in AKI patients if used for diagnosis, followed by the respective mean serum creatinine concentrations at the time of admission to the ICU (results as mean ±SEM).
