Percent changes in diameter in small (≤70 μm) cerebral pial venules in the Control a, the Pre b, the Continuous c, and the Post d groups. Before global brain ischemia, Y-27632 produced pial venular dilation b. During the ischemia, pial venules were slightly constricted but not statistically significant in all groups. During the reperfusion period, pial venules were dilated temporarily in the Control and the Pre groups but otherwise remained unchanged during reperfusion in all groups.
