The combination of fentanyl with chemotherapeutic drugs is antagonistic in ovarian cancer cells. Isobologram analysis of combination index (CI) values of the combination of fentanyl with cisplatin or paclitaxel in all fractions are more than 1 in SK-OV-3 (A and D), TOV-21G (B and E) and SW626 (C and F) cells. CI was calculated using the Calcusyn software. CI of less than 1 indicates synergism; CI equals to 1 indicates additivity; and CI of greater than 1 indicates antagonism of the two drugs in combination
