Sevoflurane partially reverses the reduction in cell survival by TRPV1 channel antagonism. Inhibition of Ca2+ influx through the TRPV1 receptor Ca2+ channel with the selective antagonist SB-366791 reduces cell survival in all three cell lines. Concomitant use of sevoflurane, but not propofol, partially reversed this effect. Data represents means ± SD from at least 9 repeats of 3 separate experiments and was analyzed by two-way ANOVA followed by Turkey multiple comparison tests. * P < 0.05, **** P < 0.0001
