Ultrasound images obtained during sciatic nerve block. The curved probe is put vertically, inferior to the needle, to see the sciatic nerve (SN) clearly. The needle (white line) was directed by an in-plane technique toward the sciatic nerve deep to the inferior border of the quadratus femoris muscle to block the sciatic nerve deep to the quadratus femoris (QF) muscle.
