Preemptive bupivacaine attenuates mechanical allodynia evoked by spinal nerve ligation. Force in grams required to elicit hindpaw withdrawal from a non-noxious mechanical stimulus applied to the ipsilateral (a) and contralateral (b) hindpaw.
