From: Notch signaling activation is critical to the development of neuropathic pain
Administration of Jagged-1 peptide, a ligand of notch signaling pathway, can induce neuropathic pain-like behavior in normal rats. The Jagged-1 (JAG-1) peptide (1, 10 and 100 μM) or control scrambled peptide (SC)-JAG-1 were i.t. administered to normal rats. The mechanical PWT was measured before (baseline) as well as 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 36 h and 48 h after JAG-1 or SC-JAG-1 administration.
