Statistical analysis of MAC LORR dose-response curves. Data were fit with a logistic equation of the form: Y = XHill slope/[XHill slope + MACLORR Hill slope] where Y is the fraction of the population that has lost its righting reflex, X is the anesthetic concentration, MACLORR is the dose at which 50% of the population has lost its righting reflex, and Hill slope is a constant that represents the steepness of the dose-response curve. The accompanying table reports best fit values for MACLORR and Hill slope for each anesthetic gas along with the 95% confidence intervals surrounding the fit.
