Isoflurane inhibits activation of caspase-3. Samples were collected after cardiocytes were differently treated. The level of cleaved caspase-3 and β-actin were examined by Western blot. The signal of cleaved caspase-3 Asp175 was quantified and normalized to β-actin. Top panel, representative blots; Bottom panel, quantification of relative activated caspase-3 level to the control group. Data were collected from three independent preparations for each group. *p < 0.01, compared to the control group; # p < 0.01, compared to the H/R group.
